At Sara and Eldon Tanner Youth Camp, we provide firewood for all sites to enhance your camping experience. Additionally, well water is available throughout the camp to ensure you have access to fresh water during your stay.

Brown Cabin

  • Sleeps 8 in Bunks, 2 rooms.

  • Has mattresses.

  • Full Kitchen, Stove,Fridge.

  • Cold Water tap.

  • Fire Pit and Picnic table.

  • Potable well water.

Fox Den

  • Sleeps 16 on lofts.

  • Full Kitchen, Stove, Fridge

  • Hot & Cold running softened well water.

  • Flush toilets & showers are in this building.

  • They are not part of this reservation and are open to the camp.

  • Fire Pit & Picnic tables.

Lion Den

  • Sleeps 24 in lofts.

  • Partial mattresses

  • Partitioned leader section.

  • This sleeping only cabin is typically paired with the Lodge, eating only, listed with Amenities.

Raven Roost

  • Sleeps 18 in lofts.

  • Full Kitchen, Stove, Fridge

  • Water must be hauled from outside the Fox Den.

  • Potable Well water.

  • Fire Pit and picnic tables.

Primitive Site

  • We have 2 sites above the escarpment.

  • These are a 15 (Rambler) and 25 (Excalibur) minute hike from the Cabin area.

  • Hiking is the only access.

  • Arrangements can be made for some equipment and water transport.

  • Both sites are on the edge of the escarpment with views of the entire lake.

  • Fire pit, Pit toilet, Picnic table.

Cabin Tents

  • This site is designed for Ward YW/YM groups or families of up to 16 campers.

  • Both sites have adjoining areas suitable for additional tents or RV’s for leaders.

  • Includes a fire pit

  • Flush toilets are 50m away.

  • These tents are pre-set up throughout the summer season.

  • They are 14” x 20” cabin style tents with a 5’ covered extension.

  • They have a rain tarp and a floor cover.

Zions Camp

Cabin Tents

  • Site 22/Wood Floor and Site 23/Fabric Floor

  • This site is designed for Ward YW/YM groups or families of up to 16 campers.

  • Both sites have adjoining areas suitable for additional tents

  • Includes a fire pit

  • Flush toilets are 50m away.

  • These tents are pre-set up throughout the summer season.

  • They are 14” x 20” cabin style tents with a 5’ covered extension.

  • They have a rain tarp and a floor cover.

Zions Camp

  • Sites 1 to 13

  • All these sites have room for a large RV or 2 to 4 tents.

  • Site’s 1 to 4 have a 15-amp power outlet.

  • All share 7 flush toilets adjacent.

  • The shelter and the Chuck wagon are available as an amenity,

Group Sites

Jershon

  • This is a remote site at the far west end of the camp

  • It is quite large ~ 2 acres natural clearing

  • There is no vehicle access to the camp. It sits about 50M from the turnaround at the end of the multi use trail which could accommodate ~20 vehicles or trailers.

  • It has a single outhouse on site. Pit toilets 300M east and Fox flush toilets, sinks and showers 150M south of that.

  • There is a fire ring on site

  • Picnic tables at all sites

  • Water must be brought or hauled to this site

Zarahemla

  • This site is 100M north of Lakeshore Road and the Ravens Roost cabin.

  • This is a very large site in the order of 2 acres.

  • There is substantial parking about 10M from the site. The surface is not adequate for vehicles or trailers on the site itself.

  • There are pit toilets 30M west of the site. The flush toilets sinks, and showers are 100M south in the Fox Den building.

  • There is a fire ring on site.

  • Picnic tables at all sites

  • Water must be brought or hauled to this site

Cumorah

  • South in main campground of Zions Camp

  • This site is 100M north of Lakeshore Road, directly N of the main campground.

  • It will comfortably accommodate 15 to 20 Tents.

  • The adjacent parking area will park a couple of RV’s or trailers and 4 or 5 vehicles.

  • The site has a 20’ x 30’ Gazebo.

  • There are 2 pit toilets 20M from the site. The Flush toilets and sinks are 200M south in the main campground.

  • There is 1 fire ring close to the Gazebo.

  • Picnic tables at all sites

  • Water must be brought or hauled to this site

Bountiful

  • This site is within the main campground area.

  • It comfortably accommodates 10 to 15 Tents or RV’s.

  • Parking for vehicles is on the side of the road adjacent.

  • Has 1 Fire ring on site and is adjacent to a large fire ring.

  • Toilet trailer with flush toilets and sinks is 100M west.

  • Picnic tables at all sites

  • The Shelter is now a reservable amenity

What payment methods are accepted for camp fees?

Are there any additional costs for activities at the camp?

Yes, we offer various activities such as archery, canoeing, and zip lining, with fees at $10 per time block. Some amenities like the waterfront are available at no extra cost. Click HERE for more information.

What should I bring to the camp?

We recommend bringing appropriate clothing for activities, personal toiletries, and any necessary medications. Please bring a sleeping bag, sleeping mat, personal towel. The camp water is potable well water, therefore if you prefer, bring bottled water.

What are the camp rules regarding pets and smoking?

Pets are not allowed at the camp, and all forms of smoking, vaping, drugs, and alcohol are strictly prohibited to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

Is there a dress code at the camp?

Yes, we require adherence to the "Strength of the Youth" dress guidelines. These are designed to promote a respectful and modest environment.

What safety measures are in place for activities like archery and ziplining?

Safety is our top priority. Activities like archery and tomahawk throwing require the supervision of a qualified rangemaster. Zipline users must attend a specific orientation session as outlined in the Zipline Orientation document.

How is the camp accommodating for group bookings?

Our Group Sites are perfect for larger gatherings, accommodating more guests at a rate of $80 per night. Please contact our camp warden for more details on arranging group stays.

What are the quiet hours at the camp?

To ensure a peaceful environment for all campers, quiet hours are enforced from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. We appreciate your cooperation in respecting these times and other campers.

What amenities are available near the camp

The camp is conveniently located near the heart of Wabamun, where visitors can find local dining options, grocery stores, and recreational facilities. The proximity to Wabamun Lake also offers opportunities for fishing and water sports.

Are there electrical outlets available at the campsite?

Yes, our campsite includes powered sites that provide electrical outlets suitable for RVs and other camping needs. Each powered site is equipped with standard electrical hook-ups, featuring a 15 AMP electrical circuit. Please be aware of the limitations of our electrical circuits when planning the use of high-power devices. Note that there is an additional charge for using powered sites, and availability can be checked through our booking system.
